At Sutter Health, I work in the dietary office to call and visit patients, going over food preferences, meal choices, and to correct meals to meet MNT requirements. I work with floor staff and dietitians to ensure patient satisfaction and provide support. I also check tray line and enter notes from nutrition communication and MD orders.

September 2025 – Present

I worked as a nutrition research assistant for the Nutrition for Precision Health Study located in the Western Human Nutrition Research Center in Davis, CA. I began as an intern for the summer and was hired shortly after! As a research assistant I met with study participants and help guide them on the dietary assessment tools used in each specific module of the NPH study. I taught participants how to use 24 hour recalls, AI food logs, and a Diet History Questionnaire. I tracked participant study adherence throughout the week. I also served meals in our human feeding laboratory during domicile study periods. Western Human Nutrition Research Center

April 2024 – September 2025

I worked with Marshall Medical Center in the dietary office as a nutrition assistant. At the hospital I worked with staff and patients to screen new admits, create meals patients enjoyed, while still adhering to any dietary restrictions, and corrected menus. I ensured trays were prepared correctly on tray-line and served meals to patients.

August 2022 – September 2025

Organic Chemistry – Distillation (steam & liquid-liquid), Thin Layer Chromatography, gas chromatography, infrared (IR) spectroscopy & recrystallization.

Biology – Dissection of various animals and plants (squid, shark, fish), extensive experience working with microscopes viewing slides & creating wet slides, DNA extraction & PCR, pipetting.

Microbiology – Experience with various agar mediums and bacterial growth & swabbing techniques
